While many of us were raised with less-than-healthy habits, achieving 360-degree wellness means taking a holistic approach to your health and learning to adopt new, healthier routines.

We offer a variety of Workplace Wellness classes for organizations, as well as Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, and personal training sessions at the James River Country Club. Recognizing the importance of what we put into our bodies, we also provide cooking classes and share nutritious recipes to help people transition to a healthier diet.

Many of us grew up consuming these harmful foods, unknowingly addicted to sugar and processed distractions. The moment we awaken to the truth of how food impacts our health, we gain the power to make choices that honor and restore the body.
Whether you’re striving to shed excess weight or simply yearning to feel better, understanding what to eat and when to eat it is a divine step toward wellness. At Kennedy Wellness, we are here to guide you on this transformative journey, away from the unhealthy and toward the healing. Carmen Kennedy’s journey has been one of unwavering passion for fitness, health, and the power of transformation. For over 30 years, she has practiced yoga and embraced its principles, becoming a certified yoga and pilates instructor. But her faith in this practice faced the ultimate test when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Faced with this challenge, Carmen chose a path of courage and conviction. She underwent chemotherapy, committed to her yoga routine, and transformed her diet into one rooted in nourishment and healing. She believed deeply that how we breathe, how we move, and what we feed our bodies are tools that help us to heal and thrive.

By the grace of God and through her steadfast determination, the cancer was fully removed from her body. Now, Carmen stands as a living testimony—a walking example of what happens when we align our faith with action. She knows that many illnesses can be healed or even prevented when we honor our temples through exercise and eating for wellness.
